How to Get to Lapland

Lapland is located up at the top of Finland by the North Pole!

While it is a bit far from the rest of civilization, there are regular flights up to Lapland and you can also get there by train.

In order to reach Lapland by air, first fly into Helsinki and then take a regional flight up to Rovaniemi Airport. Both Finnair and Norwegian Air offer 90-minute nonstop flights to Rovaniemi.

You can also take a scenic seven-hour train ride from Helsinki to Rovaniemi on the Santa Claus Express. It takes about 8.5 hours and is definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

Santa Claus Village is a quick 8 minute drive from the airport or a 20 minute bus ride from the train station.
