Grundarfjörður is not easily accessible, as it is a small town quite far away from everything. However it is often a stop on cruises around Iceland, or you can drive there from Reykjavik in only 2hrs and 20 minutes.
The main airport is Grundarfjörður Airport, which is an 11 minute drive from town.
If you are visiting on a cruise, please know that there is no cruise ship dock, so cruises tender while here.
