It is quite easy to get to Chamonix, France! The closest airport to Chamonix is the Geneva Airport. From there you can take a train, car, or bus to Chamonix.
I’d recommend using google maps (select the public transportation option), to show you exactly which bus or train is best depending on the time of day you are traveling. Of course you can get to Chamonix via car as well.
The main train station is Chamonix Mont-Blanc, which comes into the city center.

You can also take a cable car up the opposite mountain to Le Brévent which gives you amazing views of Chamonix & Mount Blanc which is directly opposite.
