The Sunshine Coast is one of Australia’s most beautiful destinations and one of my favorite places! Located just north of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast offers stunning beaches, lush rainforests, charming seaside towns, and incredible wildlife experiences.

From surfing and hiking to exploring coastal villages and national parks, there are endless things to see and do. Whether you’re planning a relaxing beach holiday or an outdoor adventure, here are the best things to do on the Sunshine Coast.

1. Spend the Day at Noosa Main Beach

One of the most famous beaches in Australia is Noosa Main Beach in Noosa Heads.

Unlike many Australian beaches, this one faces north, which means calmer waters and great conditions for swimming year-round. It’s also a fantastic place for beginner surfers.

Nearby you’ll find boutique shops, cafés, and restaurants along Hastings Street, making it the perfect place to spend an entire day.

Noosa National Park is one of the best natural attractions on the Sunshine Coast.

Just inland from the coast, the iconic Glass House Mountains rise dramatically from the landscape.

One of the most famous attractions in the region is Australia Zoo.
