How to Get to Seville

Seville is a beautiful city in southern Spain and can be reached via airplane or train.

The main airport is Aeropuerto de Sevilla (SVQ), and is a 10 minute drive from downtown or a 45 minute train ride from downtown.

The main train station is Seville Santa Justa Train Station, and is about 14 minutes from downtown.

If you are on a cruise stopping in Cadiz, you can also easily visit Seville on a shore excursion!

What to Do in Seville

Seville is one of Spain’s most beautiful cities, and is the capital of the Andalusia region of Spain.

Plaza de España is the most famous attraction in Seville, and was built for the Ibero-American Exhibition of 1929. This grand plaza is absolutely gorgeous, and worth a wander! It is also connected to a large scenic park, Parque de María Luisa – filled with sculptures, plazas, & fountains.

The Royal Alcázar of Seville is a royal Moorish Palace with ornate arches, 16th century tile work, and beautiful fountain-filled gardens. Only so many people are allowed in per hour and lines are long, so book your tickets ahead of time and skip the lines here!

At the center of town is the Catedral de Sevilla – a gorgeous large gothic cathedral that also contains Christopher Columbus’s tomb.

The hot season lasts from June to September, with an average daily temperature above 89°F. The hottest month of the year in Seville is July, with an average high of 96°F and low of 67°F.

The cool season lasts from November to March, with an average daily temperature below 68°F. The coldest month of the year in Seville is January, with an average low of 43°F and high of 61°F.
