How To Get to Delft

Delft is a small town and therefore doesn’t have its own airport.

I’d recommend flying into Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, and then taking the train to Delft. Delft is only a 40 minute train ride from Amsterdam Airport.

The main train station is Delft Station, which is only a quick 10 minute walk from the center of town.

What to Do in Delft

Delft is a famous town in the Netherlands, known for their hand painted blue & white china!

In the center of the city is Markt Square. Enjoy the shops and cafes in the main square, and then spread out and explore the rest of the city!

Experience the charm of Delft as you walk through its picturesque streets, canals, and squares on this small-group walking tour. Uncover the secrets behind the Old Church’s leaning tower, the iconic blue Delft pottery, and the royal vault in the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church). This is a highly recommended tour! Reserve your spot here.

Nieuwe Kerk is an old Protestant church located in the middle of Markt Square. This church dates back to 1300AD and is famous for the tomb of William the Silent and the Royal crypt where most members of the Dutch Royal family are buried.

On Thursdays and Saturdays, head to Warenmarkt, to enjoy a Typical Dutch market of clothes, plants, fresh produce, cheese, and other bites to eat.

Visit the Royal Delft Factory & Museum where the famous blue china is and has been made from the 1700s! Get your tickets here.

The Vermeer Centrum Delft is a small museum dedicated to the artwork of Johannes Vermeer. Get your tickets here.
