How to Get to Malmö

Malmö is a town in southern Sweden and is easily accessible via Copenhagen which sits right across the channel.

Copenhagen Airport is the largest airport near Malmö. It is only a quick 40 minute train-ride away from. Alternatively, Malmö has its own airport – Malmö Airport.

The main train station is Malmö Central Station, which takes you right into the center of town.

What to Do in Malmö

Malmö is located in the south of Sweden and is Sweden’s 3rd largest city!

Lilla Torg is Malmö’s picturesque medieval square and is filled with cafes and restaurants to enjoy.

The main town square is Stortorget. In it you can find Malmö Rådhus – Malmö’s town hall. This beautiful old building dates back to the 1500s, and was one of the first of its kind ever built.

Södergatan Street is the main shopping street in Central Malmö with a wide range of stores and a must for any shopping connoisseur.

Make sure not to miss the Optimistorkestern – Optimist Orchestra – a cute collection of band member statues walking down the main street of town.

Visit Malmö Castle, which is Scandinavia’s oldest surviving Renaissance Castle. Denmark´s coins were minted here in the Middle Ages and Crown Prince Frederick held wild parties here in the 16th century. Prisoners were also beheaded in its courtyard in the 19th century.
