How to Get to Bruges

Bruges/Brugge doesn’t have a main airport to fly into, but you can easily fly into Brussels, Paris, or Amsterdam and take the train over.

The main train station is Brugge Train Station. The train station is an easy 15 minute walk from the town center, or you can take a taxi or bus. Just take any bus labeled Centrum and get out at Markt and you will be in the center of town!

Bruges/Brugge is my favorite city in all of Belgium! It is so romantic and quaint – filled with little canals, cobbled streets, and medieval buildings.

Markt Square is the beautiful town square of Bruges and is surrounded by little cafes and horse drawn carriages. Relax in the square & enjoy a meal or go for a carriage ride around town!

The medieval, tall Belfry of Bruges stands at the center of the square. Climb the bell tower and enjoy views all over Bruges!

The warm season lasts from June to September, with an average daily temperature above 65°F. The hottest month of the year in Bruges is August, with an average high of 70°F and low of 58°F.

The cool season lasts from November to March, with an average daily temperature below 49°F. The coldest month of the year in Bruges is January, with an average low of 36°F and high of 43°F.
